		<description>I would agree with you if there weren&#039;t a bunch of other tools with the name &quot;Flash&quot; in front of them. The distinction between design tool and scripting tool has been lost.&lt;br /&gt;&lt;br /&gt;At this point, the entire argument is moot anyway - Adobe has gone ahead with the change, and they don&#039;t seem to have any intention of changing direction. With any luck, they are heading toward a more unified tool suite so that the distinction itself becomes moot one day as well.&lt;br /&gt;&lt;br /&gt;- max</description>

Today, I use &quot;Flex Builder&quot; to build pure AS3 swf files more often than I use it to build Flex applications.  &quot;Flash Builder&quot; really is a more accurate name for it.  And with the new version it will be even easier to leverage alternative (non Flex) UI frameworks in the IDE</description>
