Wow, I've never seen a Mac have trouble with getting on the Internet. Are they running OS X?

I'll agree with you that the iPad is not useful for running the apps you listed, but again, I think that misses the point. It's not supposed to replace a laptop. For example, I'm a software engineer, and I'd never want to write code on an iPad; for coding, a laptops a perfect device. However, I'd happily use an iPad to review software wireframes with customers, annotate technical documents, collaborate with peers on UML diagrams, and for note taking and email and the other stuff that you'd typically do on a smartphone.

At our location, Macs are the ones having trouble using printers and getting onto the internet. Some W7 units do too. Ubuntu Xandros, no problem.
The overall point is as a business, the iPad makes NO sense to own. It does not run any programs that are used in business. MAS90? Nope, Heck some of our Excel sheets take more RAM then the I pad has in storage! Word, not really. Internet, well of course it does, if you have AT&T which sucks out here. Oh you can use wireless, If the IT guy is foolish enough to let the bandwidth stealing i-anything on the network.
My T91 has most of the features as the iPad, same size, touch screen, oh and open it up and I have a full keyboard. Plus I can run PROGRAMS. Not apps... And I can get work done...
