About
Hello. Welcome to my blog.
I’ve been Director of Engineering at Highwinds since 2008, providing leadership to the software engineering efforts behind Highwinds’ StrikeTracker console and Content Delivery Network (CDN). Before this, I was Director of Software Architecture at CFI/Westgate Resorts, having occupied various roles in software development, business analysis, project management, & engineering team management during my eleven-year tenure with the company.

I founded and wrote the code behind the open source bytecode-weaving library for ActionScript 3 that became as3-commons-bytecode, and jointly ran a successful Adobe user group with Brian Legros and Adam Fortuna.
I’ve rambled incoherently at a number of industry conferences over the years, on topics ranging from running software teams to best practices for using Java with Adobe technologies. I will one day list all my presentations on my blog, but in the interim if you’re interested in seeing them they can be easily Googled.
Outside of work, when I’m not writing code I can be found either wasting money on designer toys or making people’s ears bleed with my synthesizer collection. My favorite color is orange. I’m married to a surprisingly thrifty shopaholic, and we live in sunny Orlando, FL.
